A Merle Sheepadoodle is very rare. While the merle gene can be found in both the Poodle and Old English Sheepdog, it is quite rare in both breeds, especially the Old English Sheepdog (OES) so it is unlikely to be passed onto a Sheepadoodle. At Stokeshire we have several rare Merle Poodles in our program which allow us to make this lovely combination. We also work with outside breeders and studs to produce the silver-dappled puppies that can have blue eyes and patches over their eyes as well.
