A pet flight nanny is a professional service that helps pet owners transport their animals safely and comfortably when traveling by air. Pet flight nannies typically work with airlines and other travel organizations to arrange transportation for pets, and they may also provide care and supervision for the animals during the flight. This can include making sure the pets have food and water, providing comfort and companionship, and ensuring that the pets are safe and secure during the flight. Some pet flight nannies may also offer additional services such as pet grooming or training. If you are planning to travel with your pet and are looking for a pet flight nanny, it is important to do your research and choose a reputable and experienced professional to ensure the safety and well-being of your animal.

The Process

  1. Booking Confirmation: Once you've booked your flight nanny with your preferred dates and flights, the Transport team will reach out to you via email. This step is to ensure that the options provided align well with your request and the availability of their teams. Transport@wisconsindesingerdoodles.com

  2. Flight Preferences: The preference is to fly out of CWA Airport and choose the shortest flights for the puppies' comfort and convenience.

  3. Confirmation and Invoice: After you confirm the flight details provided by Katie from the Transport team, they will proceed to book the flight. Following the booking, they will send you an invoice detailing the flight cost and any additional fees, such as carrier fees. This invoice will be sent through their system and is expected to be paid upon receipt.

  4. Calendar Invitation: Upon booking the flight and sending the invoice, you will receive a calendar invitation. This invitation will confirm all the flight details and connect you with the assigned Nanny/Manny who will accompany the puppies during the journey.

  5. Pre-Flight Communication: It's advised to connect with the Nanny/Manny via text and email the night before the flight. This ensures everyone is on the same page regarding the travel arrangements.

  6. Arrival Instructions: Upon landing at the destination, you are instructed to make your way to the baggage claim area designated for that specific flight. All necessary flight details will be included in the calendar invite.

  7. Subscription to Updates: It's recommended to subscribe to updates for the flight to stay informed about any cancellations or delays that may occur.

Transporting Your Puppy

  1. A suitable crate or carrier: You will need a crate or carrier that is large enough for your puppy to stand up, lie down, and turn around comfortably. Make sure the crate or carrier is secure and won't slide around in the car. You are welcome to have a passenger hold your puppy throughout the journey. We’ve found that this is a great opportunity to bond with your puppy.

  2. A harness and leash: Use a harness and leash to secure your puppy when you let them out to go to the bathroom.

  3. Water and food: Bring a small amount of water and food with you, in case your puppy gets hungry or thirsty during the journey. We limit consumption during transport to help reduce the potential for accidents.

  4. Puppy pads or towels: In case of any accidents or spills, bring some puppy pads or towels to clean up messes and keep the crate or carrier clean. Your puppy pack will include a few pee pads for the journey.

  5. Toys or chew treats: To keep your puppy calm and distracted during the journey, bring along some toys or chew treats that they enjoy. View our Amazon list for ideas!

  6. Window shades: Consider getting some window shades for your car to help regulate the temperature and prevent your puppy from getting too hot or cold.
